Anadolu Efes vs Valencia
Competition: Turkish Airlines Euroleague
Date: 1 February 2018
Time: 18:00 CET
Anadolu Efes had no luck when they were hosted by Real Madrid last week, as was expected. They were already down by nine points by the end of the first half, and were actually severly outscored throughout all four quarters. They failed to be competitive as a team, and eventually fell by 87:68. Zoran Dragic went off for a game-high 18 points with 3 assists, 5 rebounds and 3 steals, but it wasn’t enough. Only Brown scored in double-digits, with McCollum and Dunston chipping in 9 each. That was their thirs consecutive loss in the Euroleague, as Anadolu Efes are still stuck at the bottom of the league table (W5 L15). They score 77.9 points per match, while allowing 84 in the process.
On the other hand, Valencia were engaged in a really competitive match against Khimki Moscow at home last week. The two teams were going hand-in-hand for the entire match, and it was a really close combat between the two sides. However, Valencia managed to score three more points in the final quarter, in order to take a slim 85:83 win at home. Pleiss scored a team-high 15 points with 9 rebounds, Green scored 11, Abalde scored 10, and pretty much every player that was used chipped in. Valencia have been in really good form lately, as they have only lost two of their last six matches in all competitions. However, they will really need to improve if they are to catch the playoff spots of the Euroleague, as they are now sitting at the 13th spot (W7 L13), already four wins behind the 8th spot. They score a mere 75.9 points per match, while conceding 78.3.

Anadolu Efes vs Valencia: Head to Head Stats
Valencia won by a secure 78:71 when the two teams met earlier in the season in Spain, and have had the upper hand in this match-up over the years (W3 L2). However, they have lost both matches in this venue, by 79:63 back in 2010, and by 69:59 in 2003.
Anadolu Efes vs Valencia: Prediction
Valencia have been horrible on the road this season, and are coming into this match having lost ten of their last eleven matches in all competitions. Anadolu Efes have lost only to Fenerbahce in their last six matches at home, so this is something to look at.
Anadolu Efes vs Valencia: Betting Tips
Valencia has a lot of injury problems for this match(Van Rossom, Vives, Sergi Garcia, Dubljevic, San Emeterio, Pleiss – some didn’t even travel while some may play but are clearly not fit to do it at a decent level) . I would be surprised if they stay competitive till the end. Efes -6 @ 1.90 for me.
