Chelsea vs Arsenal
Competition: Premier League
Date: 04 February 2017
Chelsea will probably be the the less happy having drawn with Liverpool, especially knowing that they now have to face another of the big boys in the Premier league Arsenal as they try and keep their lead against the other chasing pack.
Arsenal had their own slip up, one much worse than Chelsea’s which saw them slip down into third spot as Spurs capitalised with their one point. Arsenal had a bit of a shock loss to Watford 2-1 in midweek and it caused ripples across the supporters who have been ebbing and flowing all through this season. Whenever Arsenal seem to be on a rise, they often come crashing down pretty spectacularly, so this next game against Chelsea does not bode well for them if they are on a downward slump.
For Chelsea they still have a comfortable nine point lead at the top of the table, but they need to win the big games against the opposition that is closest to them, both to push their own points up but to also extend their lead over the chasing pack. Arsenal are a tough nut to crack, but all things considered Chelsea have been magnificent this year and should be able to slow their attacking style down with some firm defence.
Chelsea vs Arsenal: Head-to-Head Stats
A game with plenty of history, spanning 25 season, but an encounter that is still relatively well poised. Chelsea vs Arsenal: Prediction
Much has changed since Arsenal went rampant on Chelsea, and the Blues are now almost certain for the title, so this game will be tough, but it should be one that Chelsea wins, or at very least draws. Their defence will be tested but it has been impressive, and they know how to score goals against Arsenal’s own porous defence.
Chelsea vs Arsenal: Tips
There should be goals in this game if you look at the personnel involved. Diego Costa, Theo Walcott, Alexis Sanchez should all be in contention for an anytime goal.
