Colo Colo vs Bolivar
Competition: Copa Libertadores
Date: 16 May 2018
Kick-off: 02:30 CET
Two weeks ago, with that 2-1 win at Delfín, in Manta, Ecuador, Colo Colo “reminded” everyone that they are a big club, and still have players who can deliver under pressure, when playing with their back against the wall. That win isn’t enough though. On four points from as many matches in the group, one behind Bolívar, they absolutely need to win this one as well, keeping in mind that their last group game is in Medellín, Colombia, against leaders Atlético Nacional, next week. Center-back Julio Barroso returned to training on Sunday, and could reappear against Bolívar. He got injured in the game versus Delfín, and missed their last games. On Friday, Colo Colo drew 0-0 at home to Deportes Iquique. They are fifth in the table in Chile’s championship, eight points behind leaders Universidad Católica, but there are still many-many games left to be played there.
This game kicks off almost half an hour after the final whistle in Delfín vs Atlético Nacional, meaning that Bolívar will know if a simple draw will be enough to keep them second in the group table, or they’ll need to beat Colo-Colo. No matter what, they are hosting Delfín next week, and there, they’ll have their chance against them. If they have lost to Colo-Colo though, they won’t depend on themselves alone, they will have their attention split between their game, and that between Atlético Nacional and Colo-Colo in Colombia, which will be taking place the same time. On Saturday, they beat Nacional Potosí 1-0 at home, qualifying for the semifinals of the Apertura in Bolivia. They will be facing The Strongest on Saturday, in the first leg.

Colo Colo vs Bolivar: Head to head Stats
Colo-Colo have hosted Bolívar once before. It was in 2004, a Copa Libertadores group stage game, which Colo-Colo won 2-0.
Colo Colo vs Bolivar: Prediction
I feel Colo-Colo have the players to rise to the occasion and win this game, which is being described by themselves as the most important of the year, thus far.
Colo Colo vs Bolivar: Betting Tips
A simple Colo Colo win pays just 1.44. For more than that, I would risk with their victory combined with a clean sheet. Like that, it pays a much-much better 2.20.
