Egypt vs Uruguay
Competition: 2018 World Cup finals
Date: 15 June 2018
Kick-off: 14:00 CET
Egypt’s coach Héctor Raúl Cuper told reporters a couple of days ago that it’s Egypt’s national team, not Salah’s national team, but he, more than anyone else, knows that this is, in a sense, Salah’s team, he is the one who makes this Egypt side a team to be taken seriously into account. Without him, they are still a team, but nowhere near the sort of team they are WITH the Liverpool star in the lineup. Salah has been training properly for a few days now, that’s the most important news at Egypt’s camp. Their last friendly game was over a week ago, against Belgium a 3-0 defeat. They haven’t won any of their last six games, drawing in three, and losing the other three.
Uruguay reached the semifinals in the 2010 World Cup finals, but this year they feel so enthusiastic about their chances of success in Russia’s finals, that some “dare” say in public that this team is the best they have had since the beginning of the century, in other words, in almost 20 years. Looking at their roster, you have to admit that their claim is not… far-fetched. Luis Suárez and Edinson Cavani form an attacking duo that hardly any other team in these finals can claim to have, plus, they have excellent players in every single line. Interestingly, they chose to play only one friendly game these last weeks, against a weak side, Uzbekistan. They won 3-0, in Montevideo. According to reports, they will start the match with Muslera, Varela, Godín, Giménez, Cáceres, Bentancur, Vecino, Nández, De Arrascaeta, Cavani and Suárez.

Egypt vs Uruguay: Head to head Stats
Egypt and Uruguay have met just once before, in a friendly game in 2006. It was held on Egyptian soil, and the Uruguayans won 2-0.
Egypt vs Uruguay: Prediction
I trust Uruguay to win the game, same way I trust them not just to qualify, but to finish first in their group.
Egypt vs Uruguay: Betting Tips
A simple Uruguay win pays 1.61. For more than that, I would risk with their victory combined with a clean sheet (2.20). “Uruguay to keep a clean sheet” alone is at 1.72.
