France vs USA
Competition: International friendly
Date: 9 June 2018
Kick-off: 21:00 CET
This friendly game, the last one before they fly… east, could be the cherry on top for France. Back in March, they beat Russia (3-1). Late May, it was the Republic of Ireland’s turn (2-0). A few days ago, they beat Italy as well (3-1), not so easily as the final score may suggest, but still, they beat a very improved Italian side, by two goals. If you’ve been following France’s news you’ve known for weeks now that Karim Benzema won’t be in Russia. Alexandre Lacazette won’t be either, as Didier Deschamps chose to cut him from the final 23-man list, having just too many quality strikers to choose from. If something goes bad for France in Russia, Deschamps will be “reminded” of the players he didn’t include in the list. No matter what, France’s roster is spectacular.
Just a few days after impressing against Bolivia back home, the United States lost 2-1 to the Republic of Ireland, something that can rather easily be explained, keeping in mind how many young players this team have, and… how young they are (many, under 20). When you have that many youngsters, players not used to back-to-back international games, ups and downs are to be expected. No matter what, the future looks bright for the US. They have players they can build a team around, Pulisic, top of all, but not only him. The defeat to the Irish put an end to a four-match unbeaten run, but this is their chance to bounce back, not necessarily getting a positive result, but at least leaving some good impressions against one of the top favorites to win the World Cup.

The game is held at Lyon’s impressive home. The French are considered practically sure winners, but their 1.16 is not tempting at all.
France vs USA: Betting Tips
“Over 2.5 goals” is at 1.65, very probable to come good. Personally, I would take the extra risk to bet on “over 3.5 goals”, paying 2.62.
