Jagiellonia Bialystok vs Wisla Plock
Competition: Poland Ekstraklasa
Date: 7 April 2018
Kick-off: 18:00 CET
Both my tips in Jagiellonia Bialystok’s last game came good, “no” on both teams to score” and “under 2.5 goals”, they lost 1-0 at Zaglebie Lubin, but truth is, I expected them to earn at least a draw, 0-0, or even win 1-0. They had ball possession, slightly more attempts, especially the last 30 minutes were all Jagiellonia, they missed… incredible chances to earn at least a draw, but nothing worked for them. Well, actually, almost nothing. Something worked, far away, in Gdynia, where local side Arka beat Legia Warsaw 1-0. Jaga remained three points above Legia, they are still leaders, and their closest rivals are Lech Poznan, two points behind them. A single point in this match will secure Jagiellonia the top spot in the table, even if Lech win their game. Either way, it’s the “championship round” where all will be decided, the seven extra games all teams in the Ekstraklasa will play, starting next weekend.
Wisla Plock’s 1-0 win over Piast Gliwice last weekend was one of those games that leave you wondering… “how could this match have just one goal?” Both teams missed awesome chances to score, but ironically, only Alan Uryga (a defender who scored his first goal of the season) saw the ball go in from his header, and not before the 87th minute. A point would have secured Wisla a spot in the top 8, but the win pushed them even higher, 6th, a position better than what most expected, given their limited budget and relatively poor support in their home games. Only Nieciecza and Sandecja sell less tickets than Wisla Plock, and Wisla’s stadium is bigger, looking practically empty in most matches.

Jagiellonia Bialystok vs Wisla Plock: Head to head Stats
A 2-1 Wisla Plock win in December 2016 is the only recent game between these two in Bialystok.
Jagiellonia Bialystok vs Wisla Plock: Prediction
Jagiellonia have six wins in a row at home, but Wisla have lost just one of their last five games away from home. Given that Wisla’s double chance pays better than Jaga’s win alone, I’m going with that.
Jagiellonia Bialystok vs Wisla Plock: Betting Tips
Wisla Plock’s double chance at 1.95 is my main tip. “Over 2.5”, at 1.80, is my other tip, expecting both teams to look more effective than last weekend, when both missed a great deal of good chances.
