Lamia vs Apollon Smyrnis
Competition: Greece Super League
Date: 14 April 2018
Kick-off: 14:00 CET
Absolutely huge game for both teams, as they are the ones who find themselves right above the relegation line, and, on top of that, they are level on points. Despite playing without key players, Lamia earned a precious goalless draw at Kerkyra two weeks ago, maintaining the four-point difference between them. It could be called the most important result Lamia have earned this season. If they had lost, 15th-placed Kerkyra would be just one point below them. The two weeks that passed since then, allowed several Lamia players to recover from injury and fitness issues they were dealing with. Lamia are undefeated in their last three games, having played two of those away from home.
As previously mentioned, Lamia are undefeated in their last three games, but two of those ended in a draw. Apollon Smyrnis have earned all nine points possible from their last three matches, beating Panetolikos and AEL Larissa at home, and, two weeks ago, PAS in Giannina(!). Coach Yorgos Paraschos says they are not safe yet, and he will continue to say so until they avoid relegation mathematically. Truth is though, that last victory in Giannina was absolutely massive, and certain Apollon players have called it “a major step towards avoiding relegation”. Irish center-forward Anthony Stokes missed most training sessions this past week, without getting in touch with anyone at Apollon to explain why. Obviously he is out of this game, and most probably he won’t reappear this season.

Two goalless draws between these two the last three years in Lamia.
Lamia vs Apollon Smyrnis: Prediction
Believe it or not, draw pays just over 1.80, it is considered THAT probable, because it is a result that will leave both teams more or less satisfied. That was the odd two days before kick-off, so keep a close eye, see how things evolve, especially the last hours before kick-off.
Lamia vs Apollon Smyrnis: Betting Tips
Draw feels… too obvious, and at 1.84, it’s not bad. “Under 2.5 combined goals” pays just 1.41, but it feels even more probable than “super probable” draw.
