Lech Poznan vs Korona Kielce
Competition: Poland Ekstraklasa
Date: 13 April 2018
Kick-off: 20:30 CET
Lech Poznan’s 3-1 home win last weekend (in front of an amazing sell-out crowd) pushed them first in the table, for the first time since the 13th game week. Their victory was paying less than 1.60, so I made “both teams to score” my main tip, at 1.85, having a 2-1 hunch. Lech were superior, took the lead before halftime, but in the 74th minute they saw Gornik equalise from the penalty spot. They reacted immediately, took the lead again (scorer Ł.ukasz Trałka got lucky, as the ball got deflected on a… tiny hole on the pitch), my 2-1 hunch was on its way to coming true, but Lech scored again in the fourth minute of added time, the cherry on top for them. They start the “championship round” with a small advantage over Jagiellonia Bialystok and Legia Warsaw.
Despite playing without key players, Korona Kielce earned a 1-1 draw at Slask Wroclaw last weekend, finishing sixth in regular season. They had just hosted Arka Gdynia in a Cup semifinal, as previously mentioned they had key players rested, but even so, they had ball possession, almost as many chances as Slask did, and all in all, someone could call the draw a fair result in Wroclaw’s game. The fact that they finished 6th in regular season, means that they will play four games as guests in the “championship round”, and “only” three as hosts. Plus, they have the return leg of the Cup semi coming up, in Gdynia. In other words, there are at least two “issues” Korona need to deal with (the extra game away from home, and the Cup “distraction”), in their attempt to finish as high as possible at the end of the “championship round”.

Lech Poznan vs Korona Kielce: Head to head Stats
Three wins for Lech and two draws in the last five games between these two in Poznan. Only one of those five matches had more than two goals.
Lech Poznan vs Korona Kielce: Prediction
Lech have everything going for them; they are in great form (four wins in a row in the championship, scoring at least three goals per match), they are playing at home, against a team that have a Cup semi coming up, so… it’s rather easy to back them to win.
Lech Poznan vs Korona Kielce: Betting Tips
A simple Lech win is at 1.32, low, but makes sense. For more than that, I suggest their victory combined with a clean sheet, at 2.35.
