Leicester Tigers vs Exeter Chiefs
Competition: Aviva Premiership Rugby
Date: 30 September 2017
Kick off: 16:00 CET
The defending Champions have gotten their season back on track after a poor start and a shock defeat, however, they now have to face a team at home that is also looking to bounce back after a poor start in the Leicester Tigers.
Exeter are on a three game winning streak after their first game of the season was a loss, and an unexpected one, in the last minutes of their game against Gloucester. The defending Champions were expected to walk away with things, but they started slow. Now they have however bounced back and have managed to pick up three wins in a row. Two of those wins have been pretty regulations ones, seeing as they saw off London Irish and then the Worcester Warriors, but they also managed to beat the Wasps in a repeat of the final last year, also at home, to make it solid 14 point win. The Tigers are always a threat and are seen as a dangerous team no matter what just because of their history, so having to travel there the Exeter side will know this is a big task.
The Tigers also had a slow start to the season, but they went one even worse and lost both their opening games. They have however won the last two back to back and are seemingly back on track after a disrupted year last year playing its part. They opened up the season with two tough games, against Bath and the Northampton Saints, and even at home to Bath, they looked decent for a close four point loss. However, against Gloucester at home they started to turn things around, and when they traveled to Harlequins for what was a really good win by a small margin ,three points away from home. The Tigers will see this as a prized scalp if they can get it at home.

While the Tigers have the dominance in this fixture over the last 10 games, they have been less lucky in a smaller bracket. In the last five games the Tigers have just one win and the Chiefs have managed four, with big margins as well.
Leicester Tigers vs Exeter Chiefs: Prediction
This game has the making of being a good one as the Chiefs are probably a better team, but because the Tigers are at home, and because they are starting to get into their groove, it should make it much closer. The Tigers will put the Chiefs under pressure, but it could well be a late winner for Exeter.
