Partizan Belgrade vs Viktoria Plzen
Competition: UEFA Europa League
Date: 15 February 2018
Kick-off: 21:05 CET
Partizan Belgrade got embarrassed twice by Dynamo Kyiv in the group stage, defeat 3-2 at home despite winning 2-0 at halftime, defeat 4-1 in Ukraine, but other than that, they definitely “delivered”, especially against Young Boys, their main rivals in the fight for one of the two first spots. They drew in Switzerland and beat them in Serbia, which is exactly what they did against Skenderbeu as well, draw away, win at home. They were going hand-in-hand with city rivals Red Star in Serbia’s championship until late November. Then, inexplicably, they started dropping points, and they… kept on losing points, they won only one of their last five games in 2017, they failed to beat Red Star as well (1-1 at home), and are now eagerly awaiting the restart of the championship the coming weekend to get their Superliga season back on track.
Just like Partizan, Viktoria Plzen haven’t played an official match in over two months. A difference is that they are the undisputed bosses of Czechia’s league, having second-placed Slavia Prague and Sigma Olomouc 14 whole points behind them. In 16 championship matches in 2017, they won 15(!), drew one, lost none, scoring 34 goals, and conceding just five(!). Incredible numbers for Viktoria, who seem impossible to lose the title. Having written all that, they left a lot to be desired away from home in their Europa League group. They lost at Steaua, 3-0, they lost at Lugano as well, 3-2. The latter was a major surprise. The surprise in the case of their defeat in Bucharest is that it came so… easily (Steaua were 2-0 up by halftime).

Partizan Belgrade vs Viktoria Plzen: Head to head Stats
This is the first game ever between these two.
Partizan Belgrade vs Viktoria Plzen: Prediction
I love the 2.60 Partizan’s win pays. I don’t trust them blindly to qualify, but I do expect them to look good enough at home to win this game, even by just… half a goal.
Partizan Belgrade vs Viktoria Plzen: Betting Tips
Partizan’s win at 2.60 is my only tip, considering it more than good enough to avoid taking any other risk, an even bigger one. Partizan are unlike most-most of Viktoria’s opponents in Czechia’s league, and the Plzen side’s poor performances away from home in the group stage cannot be overlooked.
