PAS Giannina vs AEL Larissa
Competition: Greece Super League
Date: 22 April 2018
Kick-off: 18:00 CET
Three consecutive defeats and five games in total without a win, have left PAS Giannina 11th in the table, far behind the 5th spot, which gives the last Europa League ticket. Actually, PAS have won just six games this season, six out of 27, having more draws than any other team, 12. Last weekend they lost 3-0 at Xanthi, in what was their last chance to stay alive in the fight for the 5th spot. Their coach (who looks like he will stay at the team for another season) said they deserved better, but… PAS have lost their last three games without scoring a single goal, they have scored just once on their last five matches, mostly because their top scorer, Pedro Conde, has stayed… quiet, right when he was needed to look at his best.
I can’t even begin to imagine what it must feel these days to be an AEL Larissa player. Midweek, they visited AEK Athens, it was the return leg of their Cup semifinal, they had won 2-1 at home in the first leg, and they managed to keep the game at 0-0 until the fourth minute of added time. Actually, they lost two awesome chances to score themselves. Seconds before the end, an AEK player scored an absolutely spectacular goal, AEL lost 1-0, and AEK’s away goal in the first leg made the difference. Larissa were seconds away from playing in a Cup final, and their players were left devastated after conceding that late in the match. Other teams are rather… used to playing in finals, AEK played last season, but for AEL it would be a historic event. They are 12th in the Super League table, eight points ahead of second-to-last Kerkyra, so they are almost 100% safe.

PAS Giannina vs AEL Larissa: Prediction
I’m backing PAS to win, because I feel they have a much bigger motive (leave their fans with some good last impressions), and also because AEL played a super demanding match midweek, a match that left them heartbroken.
PAS Giannina vs AEL Larissa: Betting Tips
Giannina’s win pays 1.72, and that’s my main tip. Actually, seeing “under 2.5” pay just 1.55, I’m sticking to Giannina’s win as my only tip.
