Poland vs Chile
Competition: International friendly
Date: 8 June 2018
Kick-off: 20:45 CET
How unfortunate… The Poles announced the final 23-man list, and an hour or two later, Kamil Glik got injured while trying something in a training session. He went through all sorts of exams for two days, and the news on Thursday were… devastating for him. He has to stay out for no less than six weeks(!), meaning that the World Cup finals are over for him, before they even start. Marcin Kamiński, a Stuttgart defender, has taken his spot in the list. Horrible news for Glik, bad news for Poland as well, as Glik is by far their most reliable defender. Plus, they have very little time to work on substituting him. Poland haven’t played a friendly game since March. It was their choice to focus on training the last two and a half weeks. They are facing Lithuania as well, in another friendly game, before their first group match in Russia.
I have to admit, I respect this Chile side, having traveled to Europe without several key members, playing friendly games knowing that they won’t be in the finals, in Russia. They lost 3-2 to Romania a week ago, a result that is actually better than what it looks, given that they played with 10 men for over an hour, and Romania have been doing great in their friendly games for months now. On Monday, they beat World Cup finalists Serbia 1-0, a small… satisfaction for them, beating a team that will be in Russia, as if sending a message that Chile, no matter if they are without… half a dozen regulars, are still able of beating World Cup finalists.

Poland vs Chile: Head to head Stats
This is the first game ever between these two.
Poland vs Chile: Prediction
The game is held in Poznan, Poland. The hosts are considered clear favorites to win, but I’m backing Chile to earn at least a draw.
Poland vs Chile: Betting Tips
“Draw or Chile” pays 1.80, exactly as much as Poland’s victory. I’m going with the former. Poland haven’t played a friendly game in over two months, Chile have looked more than decent twice the last 10 days.
