Real Madrid vs Anadolu Efes
Competition: Turkish Airlines Euroleague
Date: 25 January 2018
Time: 20:45 CET
Real Madrid had a really hard time against Unicaja Malaga just like we predicted last week, as they eventually fell by 80:75 on the road. Unicaja Malaga were much better at the first half, as they managed to take an eleven point lead by the end of the second quarter. Real Madrid didn’t give up that easily, and made great efforts to overturn the result. Even though they were the better team in the second half, they failed to avoid their first defeat after 13 consecutive wins in all competitions. Luka Doncic has been improving after a rather quiet January, and in that match he scored a game-high 16 points with 3 assists and 5 rebounds, but only Fernandez and Carroll helped in the scoring department, with 10 points each. Real Madrid are now sitting at the 4th spot of the Euroleague (W12 L9), still featuring the 2nd best offense with 83.94 points per match, while conceding 77.89 in the process.
On the other hand, Anadolu Efes have made some great efforts over the past month, as they had won five of their six matches right before that match against CSKA Moscow. They were destroyed in Russia last week when CSKA Moscow handed them a tough 110:79 loss, and Anadolu Efes went on to suffer a second loss in that double game-week, when they fell to Fenerbahce by 84:89 at home. It was a really promising match, but Anadolu Efes were destroyed by 11:22 in the second quarter. Even though that was the only quarter that they were outscored by their opponents, they failed to come back from that deficit, and have now lost two in a row. Douglas went off for 29 points with 3 rebounds, 3 assists, 3 steals and 3/3 threepointers, while McCollum chipped in 18 points. Anadolu Efes are still stuck at the bottom of the Euroleague (W5 L14), with an average of 78.42 points so far, as they now have the worst defense with 83.84 conceded.

Real Madrid vs Anadolu Efes: Head to Head Stats
Real Madrid made a really strong entrance in the Euroleague this season, as they easily overcame Anadolu Efes by 74:88 in Turkey in the premiere. They have been dominant in this match-up, as not only have they won each of the last four matches, but they have lost just 3 of the last 21 matches over the last 10 years (W18 L3).
Real Madrid vs Anadolu Efes: Prediction
Real Madrid haven’t lost to Anadolu Efes at home since 2005, counting ten straight wins since then. They rarely have problems in overcoming their opponents by double-digits, and given the fact that Anadolu Efes have not been very strong on the road, we might be looking at a comfortable home win here.
Real Madrid vs Anadolu Efes: Betting Tips
The line sits at 12.5 which is a little too high for me. Real might beat it but I would rather have a crack at the Over 168.5 @1.90.
