Rosario Central vs Sao Paulo
Competition: Copa Sudamericana
Date: 13 April 2018
Kick-off: 02:30 CET
Paulo Ferrari. His is the only absence that troubles Rosario Central’s coach, Leo Fernández. The experienced right-back remains unavailable, meaning… more game time for Nahuel Gómez. He, goalkeeper Ledesma, fellow defenders Tobio, Cabezas and Parot, midfielders Lovera, Pisano, Maxi González and Carrizo, and last, strikers Ruben and Zampedri are expected to start the game for the Argentine team. On Sunday, they beat Belgrano 2-1 at home, more easily than what the score suggests, as they conceded from the penalty spot only in added time, leading 2-0 since the 39th minute. Central are 14th in Argentina’s Superliga, two spots lower than where they finished last season. They snatched the last ticket to the Copa Sudamericana.
Sao Paulo have a recently-hired coach, Uruguayan Diego Aguirre, who left San Lorenzo months ago, having faced all sorts of problems with players there. Someone could say, having “created” those problems himself… He has led Sao Paulo to just two games, two defeats, to Corinthians in the Paulista championship, and Atlético Paranaense in the Copa do Brasil. According to reports, Peruvian attacking midfielder Christian Cueva is not going to start the game in Rosario, and that’s not the first time he’s missing out on a first 11 spot under Aguirre. Sao Paulo are expected to start the game with Sidao, Militao, Rodrigo Caio, Arboleda, Reinaldo, Jucilei, Petros, Liziero, Nené, Marcos Guilherme and Tréllez. Their last game was a week ago, in Curitiba, they didn’t play last weekend, unlike Central. They are competing in the Sudamericana having finished 13th last season in Brazil’s championship.

Rosario Central vs Sao Paulo: Head to head Stats
Central have hosted São Paulo twice before. In 2000 they beat them 2-1 in a Copa Mercosur group stage game, and four years later they beat them again, 1-0, in a Copa Libertadores round of 16 match.
Rosario Central vs Sao Paulo: Prediction
Central are given an advantage to win the game, and I agree with that.
Rosario Central vs Sao Paulo: Betting Tips
Central’s win pays 2.37, which I consider more than good enough to avoid risking further with special bets. They are not going through their best period possible, but I seriously mistrust Sao Paulo at this stage to earn even a draw in Argentina.
