Sale Sharks vs Gloucester
Competition: Aviva Premiership Rugby
Date: 29 September 2017
Kick off: 21:00 CET
Sale are in desperate need of another win seeing as they have collected just the one from the last four games, and with an erratic Gloucester side arriving on their door step, there is every chance for a win.
Gloucester have had one or two good games, and patches of brilliance, but their loose and expansive style of rugby leads to plenty of errors as well as a host of penalties and mistakes. They have seen a great performance at the start to knock over Exeter Chiefs at home with a late try, and they have also managed to beat the Warriors, but by only five points, despite playing some great looking rugby. Where it has fallen apart though is when they have been on the road and they have had some tougher opposition to deal with as they lost to the Harlequins by 11 points and then to the Tigers by 14 on the road. Gloucester are back on the road, but against Sale they have a team that is struggling and could be vulnerable to a bot of good rugby if the Cherry and Whites can get themselves up for it.
Sale have managed to only beat the team that sits just under them and has been recently promoted, and that is London Irish. It was a win at home, and a big one, but it is an outlier in a grouping of three other losses. Two losses away from home against the Saracens and Wasps were probably expected, but the loss at home to the Falcons, but one point, would have really stung them. They have not been up to par, and even with all their recruitment, they would expect to be doing better.this game could be one for them to try and turn things around as Gloucester have a lot of holes to exploit, and especially seeing as they are at home.

Sale Sharks vs Gloucester: Head to Head Stats
Gloucester have been the better team in this fixture over the last 10 encounters, but it is a slight margin as they have managed to win six games and lose four to Sale.
Sale Sharks vs Gloucester: Prediction
This is a tough one to call and it really depends on who will be better when it comes to being at home or traveling. Gloucester, on paper, should win, but they do not like traveling, and on top of that, Sale have been a better team at home that is slowly improving, The home advantage should be enough for a close win for Sale
