Sao Paulo vs Bahia
Competition: Brazil Serie A
Date: 3 December 2017
Kick-off: 20:00 CET
Sao Paulo’s double chance (1.83) and their win in “draw no bet” (2.75) were my two tips when the “Tricolor” visited Coritiba last weekend, and both came good, despite the fact that not just one, but three match officials, committed the same incredible mistake. Two minutes before half time, a Coritiba and a Sao Paulo player jumped for the ball inside Sao Paulo’s box. The Coritiba player couldn’t reach the ball with his head, he touched it with his hand instead, but amazingly, all three, the referee and his two closest assistants, they all failed to see what had happened, and gave a penalty(!!!), which Coritiba’s goalkeeper (he takes them), didn’t miss. Sao Paulo fought back in the second half and won the game, leaving them with chances (mostly mathematical, but… you never know) of playing Copa Libertadores football next season. It should be noted that Lugano is going to start this game, in his farewell to Sao Paulo. Or maybe not… The super experienced Uruguayan defender has been offered a job at Sao Paulo, but he’s still not sure if he’s ready and willing to put an end to his career as a player. According to reports, his wife would like him to accept the Sao Paulo offer, but… we’ll see.
Bahia were considered big favorites to beat Chapecoense last weekend at home, Chape’s double chance was at 2.05, much better than Bahia’s win alone, I had little double to suggest it, and actually Bahia failed to get even a draw. They went 1-0 down in the first half, and stayed there, as they missed a penalty in the second half. It was their second defeat in a row, but they’re still alive in the fight to earn a Copa Libertadores ticket, having secured their presence in the Copa Sudamericana (“worst” case scenario). They absolutely must win this game, so as to go to 52 points, and hope for a combination of other results, so as to finish in the top-nine. If Flamengo win the Sudamericana in 10 days, 9th in the Serie A will be enough to play in the Libertadores qualifiers. If Flamengo lose, then only those 8th and higher will be in the biggest club competition of South America next season.

Sao Paulo vs Bahia: Head to head Stats
Sao Paulo haven’t hosted Bahia since 2014. Back then, they beat them 2-1. A year earlier, it was Bahia who had won 2-1.
Sao Paulo vs Bahia: Prediction
As I’ve written before, Sao Paulo are that one team that really made me suffer this season, in my predictions. In all competitions I’m covering, Sao Paulo are the team that has thrown to the trashcan more tips of mine than any other (by far), so… at this point, I wouldn’t blame anyone for betting on exactly the opposite to what I suggest (in Sao Paulo’s matches). In this game, I see them win, but…
Sao Paulo vs Bahia: Betting Tips
A simple Sao Paulo win pays 1.65. “Over 2.5 goals” is at 1.90, and these two combined, promise a very good 2.65.
