Treviso vs Ospreys
Competition: Guinness Pro14
Date: 22 September 2017
Kick off: 20:35 CET
Treviso pulled off a really big surprise on the weekend when they picked up a good win against Edinburgh, but more than that, they did it away from home. They will want to keep the momentum going, and they have a chance against the Ospreys.
It looked as if it was going to be another poor season for the Italian side as they started their campaign off with two losses. One of those losses, the opening one, was 34-3 against the finalists Munster as the Italians looked awful. However, when they got home they faced Ulster, another class side, and were only beaten by seven points in a much tighter 14-21 defeat. The signs were there that perhaps Treviso had something about them. But no one was expecting them to show it off when they went away to Scotland to play. Edinburgh led 14-0 in the first half but were chased down and eventually beaten 20-17 by Treviso for a famous win away from home. They are back home this week and more surprises could be on the cards.
The Ospreys look as if they may be in for a poor season, which is a pity as they showed good signs – and poor signs to be honest – last season. The Welsh region would have been hoping that they could head in an upward curve this new year, but after winning their first game, very unconvincingly against Zebre, they have since gone off the boil. At home to Zebre opening up, the Ospreys would have thought they could get a huge win, but in fact, it was a dour nine point victory 22-13. They then traveled away to Glasgow and were well and truly beaten there 31-10 before a home game at Munster against saw them come unstuck to a team that was simply better than them, 16-21. Treviso are usually a simple matter, but Ospreys need to be wary as they are not in form.

Treviso vs Ospreys: Head to Head Stats
Treviso does not often have good results against certain teams, but relatively speaking, their three wins from the last 10 is not a bad result against the Ospreys. Especially if you consider in the last four games they have won two, and they won the most recent game – additionally, all their wins have also come at home.
Treviso vs Ospreys: Prediction
The pickings are really ripe for a Treviso win here. They are on form, they have a good win behind them, historically they have done well against Ospreys and they are at home for good measure. However, the Italians sides are often more surprising than backable, so the clever money would still be on Ospreys to get a win here.
