Valencia vs Barcelona
Competition: Turkish Airlines Euroleague
Date: 16 January 2018
Time: 20:30 CET
Valencia suffered a really hard blow to the face when they played host to Fenerbahce last week, as they lost by a tough 67:80 in front of their own home crowd. They were pathetic in the first quarter (7:18), and even though they made a comeback in the match, Fenerbahce destroyed them in the final quarter and forced them to this very sad loss. Valencia looked hopeless at times during the match, and only Pleiss and Abalde scored in double digits. Valencia are going nowhere so far, as they are now sitting at the 14th spot of the Euroleague (W5 L12), featuring the 2nd worst offense with just 74.70 points per match, while conceding 77.7 in the process.
On the other hand, Barcelona are coming into this match after a loss on the road, just like we predicted. They were hosted by Greek side Panathinaikos, who are usually really strong at home. That match actually started in good terms for Barcelona, who were up by two points at the end of the first quarter. However, they were outscored in each of the next three quarters, and suffered a 84:75 loss in Athens. Heurtel had a really nice match with 18 points, 3 assists, 2 rebounds and 2/2 triples, while Tomic (12p), Moerman (11p, 6r) and Ribas (10p) were also pretty solid. Barcelona are sitting well below the playoff spots, at the 12th spot of the Euroleague (W6 L11), scoring an average of 80.64 points per match, against 78.82 conceded.

Valencia vs Barcelona: Head to Head Stats
The two teams have already met twice in the season, both in Barcelona, where the local team has won once for the ACB (79:74) and once for the Euroleague (89:71). However, Valencia have been really strong as hosts against Barcelona in recent years, having won each of the last five here.
Valencia vs Barcelona: Prediction
It will be really interesting to see what will happen in this match, as Valencia will be looking to take revenge about the two losses from earlier in the season. On the other hand, Barcelona will be looking to climb the Euroleague table, and so are Valencia, so this is going to be a tough battle between the two.
Valencia vs Barcelona: Betting Tips
The Under/Over line is currently at 157 points, and this threshold has been covered in just two of the last ten matches in this venue. I am really inclined to take the Under 157 @ 1.90 here, as both teams have played a ton of matches in the past month, and fatigue is slowly accumulating.
