Wisla Krakow vs Wisla Plock
Competition: Poland Ekstraklasa
Date: 10 December 2017
Kick-off: 15:30 CET
Buchalik has been Wisla Krakow’s number 1 (goalkeeper, not most valuable player), ever since Cuesta got injured, early in the season. After gifting two goals to Gornik Zabrze last weekend, I seriously-seriously doubt he will be between the sticks in this game, against Wisla Plock. The Krakow team took the lead last weekend, were 1-0 up at halftime, but “managed” to concede three goals in 17 minutes in the second half. If that weren’t enough, Głowacki got sent off, leaving Wisla with… back-to-back mountains to climb. They did get one goal back, thanks to Carlitos Lopez, the kind of striker who can really make something out of nothing, but… nothing more than that. Actually, given Gornik’s huge missed chances late in the game, they were kind of lucky to avoid an even heavier defeat. I was glad to suggest Gornik’s win combined with over 2.5 goals last weekend, and it came good, paying a fantastic 5.25. The hosts will be without captain Arkadiusz Głowacki in this game (eight yellow cards).
Despite playing without Furman, Wisla Plock… reminded everyone of the team that did great earlier in the season, before collapsing in November, losing four games in a row. They beat Arka Gdynia 2-0, playing an almost perfect game. Varela missed a penalty, but scored soon after that, punishing Arka for yet another massive defensive mistake. Actually, Arka were so… suicidal in the first half, that it feels as if half the… credit for Wisla’s win should go to them(…). In a single half they committed more and bigger defensive mistakes than in their last five games combined. Even Kielpin played well for Wisla, their goalkeeper, whom I didn’t avoid calling the worst keeper in the Ekstraklasa last weekend (something I still believe, despite his odd good performance). Giorgi Merebashvili is out (four yellow cards), which is a big deal for Wisla Plock, a big-big deal. He is one of their most productive, offensively, player, not to mention a joy to watch.

Wisla Krakow vs Wisla Plock: Head to head Stats
Seven wins in as many matches for Wisla Krakow, starting in the… distant 2002. Six of those seven matches went over 2.5 goals.
Wisla Krakow vs Wisla Plock: Prediction
Wisla Krakow are hurt, after that 2-3 defeat at home last weekend, it showed them that… they are good, but not that good as to beat the leaders and really dream of winning the championship, while on the other hand, Wisla Plock just played their best game in a month and a half. Tricky match, but deep down I trust the hosts to score at least… half a goal more, and win the game.
Wisla Krakow vs Wisla Plock: Betting Tips
A simple Wisla Krakow win pays 1.95. I’m hesitant to suggest anything else, because this is a game I can see ending anything from 1-0 to 3-2.
