Zalgiris Kaunas vs Khimki Moscow
Competition: Turkish Airlines Euroleague
Date: 9 February 2018
Time: 19:00 CET
After suffering a tough loss in the overtime against Panathinaikos two weeks ago, Zalgiris Kaunas were really interested in returning to winning ways. They did so comfortably, when they played host to Maccabi Tel Aviv, as they recorded a nice 99:84 win in front of their own home crowd. They were really solid throughout the whole match, as they managed to outscore their opponents in all four quarters, and were never really in danger of losing. Jankunas scored a game-high 17 points with 7 rebounds and a block, while Pangos had 16 points and 11 assists. Toupane (15p), Milaknis (12p) and Micic (12p, 6 as, 4r) were also very good, as pretty much every player that participated contributed towards the win. Zalgiris Kaunas have been in really strong form lately, as they have only lost that match in overtime against Panathinaikos in their last six in all competitions. They are now sitting at the 6th spot of the Euroleague (W13 L8), scoring an average of 81.04 points per match, while allowing 80.28 in the process. Kavaliauskas and Davies are going through an illness and are doubtful to participate, while Udrih is also a doubt with a micro-injury.
On the other hand, Khimki Moscow almost suffered an upset when they hosted Unicaja Malaga last week, but they eventually managed to take the win with a slim 68:66. They were tragic in the first quarter (9:11), and were actually down by 31:39 at the end of the first half. However, they were greatly improved in the second half, and managed to overturn the result in their favor. Alexey Shved carried the team once again with his 22 points, 4 assists, 3 rebounds and a block, while Honeycutt had a massive 11/15 double double. Khimki Moscow have been going through a rough patch lately, as they have won just two of their last five matches in all competitions. They have now slid to the 7th spot of the Euroleague (W12 L9), with an average of 77.33 points per match, against 77.66 conceded. Thomas Robinson has been out for quite a while with a broken hand, but he is ramping up the activity and he is expected to return at some point in the near future.

Zalgiris Kaunas vs Khimki Moscow: Head to Head Stats
Khimki Moscow had a really easy job when they hosted Zalgiris Kaunas earlier in the season, as they easily prevailed by 85:77. They also won both matches in the Euroleague last season, but they have only won one of their five matches in this venue over the years.
Zalgiris Kaunas vs Khimki Moscow: Prediction
Zalgiris Kaunas have been excellent at home lately, as they have won each of their last eight matches in all competitions. Khimki Moscow have won just two in that span, and they are not in very good shape lately. This looks like a home win, unless we hear some bad news about the questionable players close to tip-off.
Zalgiris Kaunas vs Khimki Moscow: Betting Tips
Zalgiris Kaunas still have some injury concerns, and if these players don’t play, I am not sure if they will have an easy job against Khimki Moscow here. Instead of picking a winner, I will go with the Over 156.5 points @ 1.80 here, a line that has been crossed in the last five home matches for Zalgiris Kaunas, and in four of the last five road matches for the visitors.
