3 de Febrero vs Guarani
Competition: Paraguay Apertura
Date: 7 April 2018
Kick-off: 01:40 CET
3 de Febrero visited Sportivo Luqueño last Monday, they were the underdogs, their double chance was at 1.83, and that was my only tip, counting on them to continue looking improved, which has been the case in their last three matches, despite not having won any of those three (all draws). Truth is, they looked second best on the pitch, and were lucky to leave Luque with a point. They equalised in added time, with one of the two chances they had in the entire match, while Sportivo Luqueño had failed to put the game to bed with some of their 6-7 chances. At the end of the day, 3 de Febrero earned another point, their fifth, they remain the only team in the Apertura without a win, but do keep in mind that they have avoided defeat in half their games thus far.
What a… sad sight Guaraní have been for two months now… The really bad times started the day they got humiliated by Olimpia (5-2), late February. That was the first of the six defeats they have in their last seven matches, I repeat, six defeats, most of which have been heavy ones. Last weekend they got embarrassed again, this time by Cerro Porteño. Guaraní had two golden opportunities to score, but only after going 2-0 down. Final score at Defensores del Chaco, 0-4 (Guaraní were technically hosts), another punch on the stomach for Guaraní, in the first game after Sebastián Saja’s departure. They are still to appoint a full-time replacement of the Argentine coach. Cerro’s win at 2.25 was my only tip back then, even though I did mention I was tempted to combine it with over 2.5 goals (3.20). Guaraní are 10th in the Apertura table, their worst start of the season in seven years.

3 de Febrero vs Guarani: Head to head Stats
Last time 3 de Febrero hosted Guaraní was in 2014. Back then, the Asunción side won both games (Apertura and Clausura), 0-2 and 0-4 (respectively).
3 de Febrero vs Guarani: Prediction
Incredibly tricky game, which, personally, I would leave aside. If I absolutely had to rule out one of the three possible results, that would be Guaraní’s win.
3 de Febrero vs Guarani: Betting Tips
The hosts’ double chance is at 1.57 betting odds, low, but they have three draws in a row, having played relatively well (as well as been lucky). Guaraní are a… disaster these days, they seem to be… begging to get embarrassed, so I will be surprised if they win, despite having a better roster, undoubtedly. My main tip though is “under 2.5 goals”, at 2.10(!). It’s true that Guaraní have conceded… countless goals lately, but none of the teams they faced were as weak offensively as 3 de Febrero are, so I don’t expect more than two goals. I have a 1-1 hunch.
