AEK Athens vs Levadiakos
Competition: Greece Super League
Date: 30 January 2019
Kick-off: 16:15 CET
AEK Athens beat Panionios away from home last weekend, 0-2, lucky to see the referee and his closest assistant miss what appeared to be – and was indeed – a ridiculously obvious handball. Petros Mandalos received the ball with his hand in the 14th minute, sent it in right after that, AEK took the lead, and things were relatively easy after that. They didn’t step on it, but Panionios looked less than average, so AEK retained that lead, and actually in added time they scored again, 0-2. Super League and Cup combined, that was their fourth win in a row, and also their fourth clean sheet in a row. In those four matches they scored no less than 14 goals. They remain third in the table, on 33 points, 14 behind leaders PAOK, but they are still hoping they’ll get three points back, those they had deducted earlier in the season, and, super important, they are hosting PAOK the coming weekend, which feels like their last chance to keep whatever hope they have of retaining their Super League title, alive.
Huge, huge, huge win for Levadiakos over Aris last weekend. They delivered in a “must-win” match, staying alive in the fight to avoid relegation. Marko Markovski’s goal in the 38th minute proved enough for the Livadia side to earn all three points. It was their first victory in eight matches, Super League and Cup combined. Also, it was their second clean sheet in a row. They remain second-to-last, on 12 points from 17 matches, they are still in a super tough spot, but at least now there is hope for them.

AEK Athens vs Levadiakos: Betting Tips
A simple AEK win pays less than 1.20, not worth it. Even combined with a clean sheet, that doesn’t go higher than 1.60, again, not worth the risk, I reckon. “AEK and under 3.5 goals” is my tip, at 1.80, because Levadiakos have done well defensively lately, and because AEK have a huge game coming up in a few days, and I can see them… slowing down after going 2-0 up.
