AEK Athens vs Panionios
Competition: Greece Super League
Date: 15 September 2018
Kick-off: 19:30 CET
AEK Athens are one of the five teams that have started this Super League campaign winning both their first two matches, but one of the only three to be on six points, as PAOK and Panathinaikos “owed” punishment points (two and six respectively) from last season. The Athens side prepared for this game having their trip to the Netherlands in the back of their mind; they are visiting Ajax on Wednesday, AEK’s first Champions League group stage match in 12 years. In the Super League, they won their first two games without conceding, scoring twice past PAS Giannina at home, and once at Asteras Tripolis just before the international break.
Filip Manojlovic, or Matic Kotnik? That’s the question for Panionios’ French coach, José Anigo. Kotnik was important last season, but the Slovenian goalkeeper turned against the club a couple of months ago, taking his case to a sports court. Late August he had his case dismissed, had to pay a fine, and apologized to the club. In the meantime, Panionios had signed Serbian Manojlovic on loan from Getafe. Panionios have made the… strategic decision to… do something with Kotnik, not let him “rust” on the bench. His market value is significant, and December’s transfer window will eventually open. It’s up to Anigo to handle the situation. Panionios have started the Super League this season on just one point from two matches, both played at home. Slovenian left-back Milan Kocic, injured, is the only unavailable player for this game.

AEK Athens vs Panionios: Betting Tips
A simple AEK win pays just 1.30. Combined with a clean sheet, it goes up to 1.72. “AEK and under 2.5 goals”, at 2.60, is my riskiest tip.
