AEL Larissa vs Kerkyra
Competition: Greece Super League
Date: 10 March 2018
Kick-off: 14:00 CET
If you look at the score of AEL’s game at Levadiakos last weekend, their 2-1 defeat, and when exactly the goals were scored, you may be left with the impression that Larissa were in control (they were leading until the 60th minute), and then somehow… dropped the ball, and in three minutes conceded twice, to lose the game. Actually, AEL were second best on the pitch for most of the game. They did create chances to score more than once, but defensively they played their worst game in a long time, excluding that 3-0 defeat at PAOK, in Thessaloniki, which though was… PAOK, in Thessaloniki, so you have to excuse AEL for that performance. Larissa are 12th in the table, six points ahead of Kerkyra and Apollon Smyrnis, the first team right above and below the relegation line respectively.
Kerkyra’s coach said after their 1-1 draw at home versus PAS Giannina that “when you don’t win, a point is still good”, and in Kerkyra’s case these days, a single point does make a big difference. They are right above the relegation line because of that point they earned last weekend, level on points with Apollon Smyrnis, but having the advantage over them, because they beat them 2-0 at home, and drew 0-0 at Apollon. In Greece, in case two teams finish level on points, it’s the games between them that count first, not their overall goal difference. Kerkyra traveled to Lamia without four players, defensive midfielders Sotiris Balafas and Stefanos Siontis (both due to cards), injured centre-forward Thuram, and also injured right winger Fotis Georgiou. On the other hand, left winger Denis Epstein is back, which is great news for AOK.

AEL Larissa vs Kerkyra: Head to head Stats
Two draws and one win for Kerkyra in the three games between these two in Larissa since 2010. None of those matches had more than two goals.
AEL Larissa vs Kerkyra: Prediction
AEL are considered rather clear favourites to win the game, but I don’t trust them. A draw won’t be a horrible result for them, as it will keep a relegation battle rival six points below them.
AEL Larissa vs Kerkyra: Betting Tips
Going against the odds, I’m backing Kerkyra to leave Larissa undefeated. Their double chance is at 1.83 betting odds, and that’s my only tip.
