AEL Larissa vs OFI
Competition: Greece Super League
Date: 27 October 2018
Kick-off: 16:15 CET
AEL Larissa lost 1-2 at home last weekend to Lamia, despite taking the lead in the 30th minute and going to the dressing room at halftime ahead in the score. Two Lamia goals in the second half left Larissa empty-handed. Lamia played with 10 men in the last 20 minutes, but interestingly, after the game, AEL claimed that the referee had been “on a mission” to make sure the hosts would lose the game. Plus, their president, said that the AEL fans who have turned against him, are pretty much paid by an Athens or Piraeus club, who want to change things at AEL, and make them a “satellite” of that club which he avoided naming. As always, there is no boring day at Larissa with the man who has been running things at the club for a few years now…
Huge win for OFI last weekend, their first of the season in the championship, and not over “any” rival, but Olympiakos Piraeus. Ivorian center-forward Patrick Vouho scored the only goal of the match in the 36th minute. OFI took perfect advantage of the fact that Olympiakos… didn’t show up in the first half, they were nowhere to be seen. The second one was a different story, the Piraeus side missed chances to at least salvage a point, but at the end of the day, OFI’s players, fans, and newly-arrived main shareholder, celebrated a big victory. Argentinian attacking midfielder Juan Neira and defensive midfielder Manolis Papasterianos remain out. OFI are 13th in the table, on five points from seven matches.

AEL Larissa vs OFI: Head to head Stats
AEL haven’t hosted OFI since 2008. That year they played twice in Larissa, and the hosts won 4-3 and 5-1(!).
AEL Larissa vs OFI: Prediction
I wouldn’t bet on this game. AEL have lost two of their three home games in the Super League thus far, and OFI just beat Olympiakos, but even so, I wouldn’t bet against the hosts, not in this game. On the other hand, I don’t trust them enough to win, and their double chance pays too little.
AEL Larissa vs OFI: Betting Tips
If I absolutely had to bet on this game, I would make the risk of betting on AEL really worth it, and combine their win with a clean sheet. That’s at 2.95.
