Aldosivi vs Banfield
Competition: Argentina Superliga
Date: 3 November 2018
Kick-off: 17:15 CET
Aldosivi had a good chance to get something out of their game at Monumental last weekend, they faced River Plate in between their Copa Libertadores semifinal legs against Gremio, but… no. They looked practically harmless offensively, and despite doing a good job defensively, they still ended up conceding (wonder-strike from outside the box). Watching the game, I was left with the impression that Aldosivi respected River Plate… too much. They lacked the “this is our chance, let’s go for it!” spirit they needed to earn a positive result against a very big rival. The Mar del Plata side have now lost three away games in a row. Things at home have been different though; they have won three of their four games there. They are 10th in the Superliga table, on 15 points from 10 matches.
Banfield didn’t see that coming… They hosted Estudiantes last weekend, a team that hadn’t won away from home since the start of the season, and instead of… stepping on it from the very beginning, they seemed rather passive. The more time passed, the more… comfortable they looked with not losing, instead of upping their game trying to score. They got punished in the 73rd minute, and then again in added time, lost 0-2, a result that was not in the… schedule. They had three wins and a draw at home before last weekend, and a total score of 5-1, which made that 0-2 against Estudiantes even more… eye-catching. As visitors, they have three draws and two defeats, no win. Banfield are 13th in the table, on 13 points from 10 matches.

Aldosivi vs Banfield: Prediction
Tough one… The fact that Aldosivi have delivered in most of their home games, makes me leave my reservations aside, and back them to win, despite having lost back-to-back (away) games.
Aldosivi vs Banfield: Betting Tips
Aldosivi’s win in “draw no bet” is at 1.80, with their double chance at 1.40. Both “under 2.5 goals” and “no” on “both teams to score” pay less than Aldosivi’s win in “draw no bet”, so I’m leaving them aside. For much-much more, I would risk with “Aldosivi and under 2.5 goals”, at 4.33.
