Argentina vs Paraguay
Competition: Copa America
Date: 20 June 2019
Kick-off: 02:30 CET
I had very little faith in Argentina on their Copa América debut against Colombia, the Cafeteros’ win in “draw no bet” and their double chance combined with “over 1.5” were the tips here, and actually Argentina did even worse than what I expected, losing 2-0. There was no score until the 71st minute, but up until that point, the Argentinians had only one real chance to score. How many did they create after going 0-1 down? None. Lionel Scaloni, their coach, whined about the condition of the pitch. Lionel Messi, a much more… serious person than Scaloni, searched for no excuse. He did say though that Argentina have a good team, and that they will bounce back. One thing is for sure, for them to bounce back, their number 10 needs to… appear more on the pitch, compared to the very few initiatives he took against Colombia.
No disrespect to Qatar, but Paraguay… shot their own foot on their Copa América debut. Qatar played well even before scoring their first goal, in the 68th minute, they had looked well even while losing 2-0, but… leaving aside the Qataris’ quality, Paraguay should have won the game, simply should have won it, taking the lead less than five minutes into the match, from the penalty spot, and going 2-0 up early in the second half. These last days, after their 2-2 draw, Eduardo Berizzo sort of… monopolized the headlines, because of something he said about Qatar and Japan being in the Copa América in Brazil. Typical clickbait headlines by countless media online, isolating a single Berizzo line, saying that Qatar and Japan should not be in the Copa América. If you read his entire answer though, to a specific question he was asked, he simply said that Copa América should be a big tournament played by both CONMEBOL and CONCACAF teams, instead of having just 10 participants from South America, and “invitees” from other Confederations. What he said made/makes perfect sense, and was not somethings said against Qatar and Japan specifically.

Argentina vs Paraguay: Prediction
It’s… football, big favorites Argentina may win… 4-0, anything could happen, but personally, at just 1.44, I’m not even considering touching their victory.
Argentina vs Paraguay: Betting Tips
“Under 2.5 goals” is at 1.90. “Under 1.5” pays 3.55, suiting my hunch that this will be a very tight game, with super few scoring chances.
