Arsenal vs Fulham
Competition: England Premier League
Date: 1 January 2019
Kick-off: 16:00 CET
Those two hours the Arsenal players spent at Anfield on Saturday proved to be particularly… painful ones; they did take the lead early, thanks to Ainsley Maitland-Niles’ first Premier League goal, but by halftime they were already 4-1 down, and ended up losing 5-1. Interestingly, they finished the game on more than 50% ball possession, but don’t be misled, they got totally outplayed by Liverpool. Shots were 15-8 for the Reds, and the on target ones were 10-2. Arsenal were and remained fifth in the table, on 38 points. They have now won just one of their last five games, Premier League and League Cup combined. Things look much better if you isolate their home games; they have three wins in a row at Emirates, over Tottenham, Huddersfield, and Burnley.
“Under 2.5 goals”, “no” on “both teams to score”, and these two combined (2.05), were the three tips here on Saturday, when Fulham hosted Huddersfield, avoiding picking sides. Fulham needed an added-time Aleksandar Mitrović goal to win the game, having missed a penalty earlier. Interestingly, despite playing at home against a team even lower than them in the table, they finished the 90 minutes with smaller ball possession that their opponents (but more shots, 14-9). Massive victory for the Craven Cottage side, who remain below the relegation line, but nonetheless, celebrated a rare win, only their second in their last 15 matches, Premier League and League Cup combined. As visitors, they have two draws and eight defeats this season in the Premier League.

Arsenal vs Fulham: Head to head Stats
Arsenal haven’t hosted Fulham since 2014. Back then, they beat them 2-0. The two previous matches between these two with the Gunners as hosts, had ended in a draw.
Arsenal vs Fulham: Prediction
Playing at home, against a weak opponent, I think Arsenal can be trusted to win, despite their poor results in their last five games.
Arsenal vs Fulham: Betting Tips
A simple Arsenal win is at just 1.35. Combined with “over 2.5 goals” that goes up to 1.75. Pushing it a bit, I would risk with “Arsenal and over 3.5 goals”, tempted by its 2.55, and Arsenal’s need to… redeem themselves.
