Asteras Tripolis vs OFI Crete
Competition: Greece Super League
Date: 15 December 2018
Kick-off: 18:30 CET
Asteras Tripolis have three wins in a row without conceding a single goal, Giorgos Paraschos became the first coach to work for them and win his first three games in charge, but… that 1-0 at home over PAS Giannina last weekend didn’t come without… some dark spots; Asteras’ fans, to be more exact, some of them, didn’t like what they saw in the first half and the beginning of the second one, and turned against the team(!). An Asteras player, a couple of hours after the game, posted something on a social media account, indirectly “answering” to those fans for their whistles before the late winner, and Asteras’ vice-president sided with his player, pretty much telling the fans off for their attitude. The Tripoli side had earned six points from their first 10 matches, and then went on to earn all nine from their last three. They are currently 10th in the table, on 15 points.
OFI have won only two of their 13 Super League matches thus far this season, but… wow, both wins were against Greek football greats, Olympiakos, and, last weekend, Panathinaikos. That 3-1 at home a week ago was easily OFI’s best game this season. They took the lead less than five minutes into the match, got equalized, took the lead again before the end of the first half, and pretty much put the game to bed in the 60th minute, when they made it 3-1. Away from home, they have drawn in three of their last four matches, and in four of their seven in total up to now this season.

Asteras Tripolis vs OFI Crete: Head to head Stats
Two wins for Asteras and three draws in the last five games between these two in Tripoli.
Asteras Tripolis vs OFI Crete: Prediction
OFI just beat a big rival at home, but… somehow, they look more motivated and focused against teams with “big” name, rather than more… modest rivals. Asteras have been doing great lately, and should win this one, even by just… half a goal.
Asteras Tripolis vs OFI Crete: Betting Tips
Asteras’ win pays too little, 1.45, and I would leave it aside. I do like their clean sheet (1.72), and also “Asteras and under 2.5 goals”, at 2.87.
