FC Barcelona vs Juventus
Competition: UEFA Champions League
Date: 12th September 2017
Kick-off: 20:45 CET
Venue: Camp Nou
This is definitely a transition period for Barcelona. No Neymar, a key figure the last years, new guys Dembele and Paulinho coming from their debuts, Suarez coming back from an injury (and scoring against Espanyol last weekend), Messi being… Messi, scoring non-stop, but I repeat, no Neymar, so… despite Barca’s big wins in La Liga, this game, against Juventus, will be a test at a whole different level. As previously mentioned, Dembele made his debut last weekend, playing the last 25 minutes against Espanyol, and assisting in one of their five goals. Paulinho played about 20 minutes. Technically, he had debuted against La Coruna before the international break, but in that game he hadn’t played more than five minutes.
Juventus lost the Super Cup to Lazio just before the start of the Serie A season, but once the championship started, they went back to doing what… Juventus do best, win, pick up points. They have three for three so far, beating Chievo 3-0 on Saturday, reaching ten goals in three matches, having kept two clean sheets as well. Juventus, along with Barcelona, Real Madrid, PSG and Bayern, are considered the five biggest favorites to win the competition this season, they are definitely stronger than last season, despite Bonucci’s departure, and the first game of the group stage at Camp Nou is an awesome chance to… make a statement.

Barcelona vs Juventus: Head to head Stats
Barcelona have hosted Juventus five times in the past, beating them twice, losing twice, and drawing once. Total goals, six for the hosts, five for the guests.
Barcelona vs Juventus: Prediction
Barcelona are considered clear favorites to win the game, which suits me just fine, because it makes Juventus’ double chance pay better.
Barcelona vs Juventus: Betting Tips
Draw or Juventus is at 2.05 betting odds, which I consider much better value than Barcelona’s win, at 1.75. Obviously Barca can win the game, even 2-0, but overall, I feel 1.75 does not correspond to the level of risk involved with betting on them to beat this Juventus.
