Barcelona vs Lyon
Competition: UEFA Champions League
Date: 13 March 2019
Kick-off: 21:00 CET
It is hard to believe the first leg between these two in Lyon ended without goals… The first half was rather split between the two teams, but Barcelona were… “much more” than Lyon in the second half, and deserved a goal. Will it prove costly, the fact that they didn’t score as visitors? Remains to be seen… Ever since then, they’ve been phenomenal; triumph at Sevilla (2-4), back-to-back wins at Real Madrid (0-3 and 0-1 in the Cup and the championship respectively), and just last weekend they beat Rayo Vallecano as well, 3-1, at home, despite going 0-1 down in the 24th minute. They remain leaders in La Liga, seven points ahead of second-placed Atlético Madrid. According to reports, they will start with ter Stegen, Alba, Pique, Lenglet, Sergi Roberto, Rakitic, Busquets, Arthur, Coutinho, Suarez and Messi.
Lyon started the first game at home strongly, they had two great moments in the first 15 minutes, but after that, excluding a third chance in added time in the first half, they stayed rather… quiet offensively, getting outplayed by Barcelona. Given how the second half went, Lyon should be feeling fine with that 0-0. By the way, their double chance, at 2.10, was the main tip here before the first leg. The target is obvious, score at Camp Nou, make Barcelona pay for the fact that they failed to score themselves in France in the first leg. Unlike their rivals, their results these last weeks were… a mixed bag; defeat at Monaco (without scoring), wins over Caen and Toulouse at home (scoring a total of eight goals!), and draw at Strasbourg last weekend, 2-2. It’s… almost funny that they managed to keep a clean sheet against Barcelona, but conceded six goals and at least one in each of their four matches since then. Their first 11 should be Lopes, Marcal, Dubois, Mendy, Denayer, Tousart, Fekir, Ndombele, Terrier, Depay and Traore.

Will we see another massive surprise in the Champions League round of 16, this time in Barcelona? I seriously-seriously doubt that.
Barcelona vs Lyon: Betting Tips
Given that a simple Barcelona win pays just over 1.20, I would risk with the same combined with “under 3.5 goals”, at 2.35.
