Bath vs Saracens
Competition: Aviva Premiership Rugby
Date: 09 September 2017
Kick off: 15:00 CET
It is early on in the Premiership, but this is a massive game as both the Saracens and Bath will feel they’re in with a shout for the top four and will want to flex their muscles early on against each other.
Saracens are probably still the favourites for the title, pre season and into their first game as they picked up a good win over Northampton Saints who were totally blown away in a humbling game at the Saracens home ground. It was a big enough win, 31 point margin in the 55-24 victory, to see the Saracens shoot up to the top, and they will want to hold that lead throughout even with a tough game at the Rec on the cards. Saracens played in their typical militaristic style as they scored tries at will with good offloading, the retiring Schalk Burger and absolute warrior as he scored one of their nine tries.
For Bath, they also showed their championship credentials when they were the only away team to win on the opening day, at a tough encounter against the Leicester Tigers who are trying to rebuild their own brand. It was a slog but bath were strong enough to hold onto a 27-23 win in the end as Leicester struck first in the piece with a converted try and a penalty, but after that it was all Bath as they also survived a late onslaught from the Tigers to take the win and show an impressive edge to them that was slightly missing last season. They will be grateful to be taking on the mighty Saracens after such a tough opener at home as the Rec has always been a tough fortress for traveling teams to come to.

Bath vs Saracens: Head to Head Stats
Saracens know they have the edge over Bath in recent times as they have won eight of the last 10 games they have played with bath sneaking two wins – both of them at home. However, Bath won one of the last two, but the most recent game was a 53-10 hammering of Bath by the Sarries.
Bath vs Saracens:Prediction
Saracens are looking mean and lean in the early stages and are almost unstoppable when they are at their best, however, Bath offer a certain challenge that will be tough to overcome. Bath at home will be their saving grace, and the only reason they are worth a punt to win. However, a bold bet would be for a draw in this fixture.
