Bayer Leverkusen vs Ludogorets
Competition: UEFA Europa League
Date: 29 November 2018
Kick-off: 18:55 CET
Tin Jedvaj’s goal in the 60th minute three weeks ago proved enough for Bayer Leverkusen to beat Zurich and secure their presence in the last-32 of the competition mathematically. They are on nine points, as many as Zurich, seven ahead of Ludogorets, as well as AEK Larnaca. Right after that game, they lost 3-0 at RB Leipzig, but their return to action after the international break was a positive one; 2-0 win at home over Stuttgart, thanks to two Kevin Volland goals in the last 15 minutes. Most of Leverkusen’s results the last three months look like they are… contradicting each other; big wins, big losses, from one week to another, or even during the same week. They give you the impression of a team that is capable of the best and the worst…
Ludogorets tried everything they could to beat AEK Larnaca at home three weeks ago, they finished that game on 19 attempts, more than double than those of AEK, but the Cypriots’ goalkeeper was awesome. So was Ludogorets’, actually; the Bulgarian side could have lost the game, despite having more attempts and bigger ball possession. Two points from four matches in the group have Ludogorets already eliminated. In their championship, they are leading, on 41 points from 16 matches. Second-placed CSKA Sofia are three points behind them. Last weekend they beat Lokomotiv Plovdid 0-1 away from home. Leaving aside a friendly defeat to Viitorul during the international break, they have kept a clean sheet in their last three – official – matches.

Bayer Leverkusen vs Ludogorets: Betting Tips
A simple Leverkusen win pays just 1.40. Their win combined with “under 3.5 goals” is my main tip, at 2.50. They have already qualified for the next round, and are hosting a team that has looked very solid defensively lately. Sure, playing against teams that have nothing to do with Leverkusen, but I repeat, the hosts have already qualified, so I don’t expect to stay with their foot on the gas until the very end of the match.
