Bayern Munich vs Khimki Moscow
Competition: Turkish Airlines Euroleague
Date: 6 December 2018
Time: 19:30 CET
Bayern Munich (W4 L6) failed to piece two competitive wins together last week when they lost to Maccabi Tel Aviv by 95:71. The match quickly got out of hand for the Germans, as the home team took a ten-point lead at the end of the first quarter and extended that to a whopping 18 at the end of the first half. Bayern Munich were only good in the third quarter (20:26) but were unable to overturn that match and eventually lost by a lot. Derrick Williams led the scoring with 15 points, 4 rebounds and 3 triples, while Lucic scored 11 with 7 rebounds and Koponen scored 10 with 6 assists. Bayern Munich have put together a really nice squad this season and will surely make a push for the playoffs. At this point they are sitting at the 11th spot of the Euroleague, scoring an average of 80.2 points per match, while allowing 81.5 in the process. Bayern Munich will be missing Milan Macvan who is injured.
On the other hand, Khimki Moscow (W4 L6) did not make a very good start in the competition but have now won each of their last three. To be honest, while other teams have league matches in-between their Euroleague matches, Khimki Moscow haven’t played one since November 18th. In their last match they recorded a really solid win at home against Panathinaikos. The first quarter was really balanced between the two sides, with the hosts taking a slim four-point lead. They took that lead into the half-time break and even extended that at the third, where they outscored their opponents by 11:7. Panathinaikos tried to make a comeback in the final quarter but a Shved-less Khimki Moscow held them at bay. Gill took over the scoring duties in that match and scored 21 with 5 rebounds, 2 assists and a steal. Mickey scored 14 with 4 rebounds and 2 steals, while Jenkins scored 12 with 7 rebounds, 3 steals and 2 assists. Monya also scored 9 with 4 rebounds with a steal and a block. Alexey Shved will miss this one as well, but Khimki Moscow showed that they can bee good without him.

Bayern Munich vs Khimki Moscow: Head to Head Stats
These two rivals last met in the 2016/17 season in the EuroCup, where Bayern Munich won both matches. After an easy 90:74 in this venue they recorded another win, more comfortable this time, by 74:96 (after a 72:72 draw in the regular time). They have actually won all four matches against Khimki Moscow over the years, all by at least nine points.
Bayern Munich vs Khimki Moscow: Prediction
Khimki Moscow looked pretty solid without Alexey Shved in the lineup, but Bayern Munich have been quite competitive overall, especially at home. They have also been great in this match-up and they can easily make it five in a row against the Russians.
Bayern Munich vs Khimki Moscow: Betting Tips
I will go with the hosts to cover a -4.5 point spread @1.85 which is a pretty solid deal. Bayern Munich will know better how to deal with a Shved-less Khimki Moscow side and should be able to cover this one way or the other.
