Bayern Munich vs Nurnberg
Competition: Germany Bundesliga
Date: 8 December 2018
Kick-off: 15:30 CET
Last weekend was full of good news for Bayern Munich; not only they beat Werder in Bremen (1-2, thanks to two Serge Gnabry goals), but they also saw both Thiago Alcântara and Kingsley Coman return to action. James Rodríguez has been training properly for some days now, but he’s not expected to play this or next week, as he needs to get match-fit first. Corentin Tolisso is also out, due to a knee problem. Niko Kovac is expected to have Neuer, Rafinha, Süle, Boateng, Alaba, Kimmich, Gnabry, Müller, Goretzka, Ribery and Lewandowski in the starting lineup. Last weekend’s was Bayern’s first win in four Bundesliga matches. They are fourth in the table, on 24 points, nine behind leaders Borussia Dortmund.
It was very interesting reading what Lukas Mühl, Nurnberg’s center-back, told reporters, ahead of his team’s trip to Munich; he said they are not going to park the bus in front of their goal, they will try copy what Fortuna Disseldorf did two weeks ago, when they earned a… crazy 3-3 draw at Bayern. Nurnberg haven’t won in their last seven Bundesliga matches. Last weekend they drew 1-1 at home with Bayer Leverkusen. They are 15th in the table, right above the relegation line, on 11 points. Bredlow, Bauer, Margreitter, Mühl, Leibold, Misidjan, Erras, Petrak, Behrens, Kerk and Ishak, these should be the first 11. Michael Köllner doesn’t have Lippert, Löwen, Mathenia and Valentini available, all injured.

Bayern Munich vs Nurnberg: Prediction
No team has conceded more goals than Nurnberg in the Bundesliga thus far this season (30, in 13 matches). Bayern should take advantage of that.
Bayern Munich vs Nurnberg: Betting Tips
“Over 3.5 goals” is at 1.72. “Over 2.5 and both teams to score” pays 2.60, and I like it, having seen Nurnberg’s players look determined – these last days – to… give it a try in Munich, not just sit back and hope for the best playing passively.
