Boca Juniors vs Deportes Tolima
Competition: Copa Libertadores
Date: 12 March 2019
Kick-off: 23:15 CET
For some reason, when Boca Juniors visited Jorge Wilstermann last week, I didn’t believe in them, no matter if they were considered favorites to leave Bolivia with all three points. I suggested Wilstermann’s double chance (1.80) and the same combined with “under 3.5 goals” (2.17), and both tips came good, as the game ended in a goalless draw. Truth is, Boca should have been given a penalty in the first half, when one of their guys went down inside the box, having been stepped on by a Wilstermann defender. The referee had perfect view, and my only guess is that he found the Boca player’s fall too… theatrical, being left with the impression that there was no foul; there was, after all. Boca had awesome chances to score in the second half, but so did Wilstermann, Boca’s goalkeeper, Andrada, had a couple of big saves, so that draw felt rather fair, despite, I repeat, the fact that Boca deserved a penalty in the first half. On Saturday, Gustavo Alfaro’s team were very good against San Lorenzo at home, and won 3-0, their third victory in a row in the Superliga. They remain third in the table there, eight points behind leaders Racing, with just three matches left.
I definitely underestimated Deportes Tolima last week. I didn’t expect them to beat Athletico Paranaense, but they did, and looking at how the whole game went, I was left with the impression that they deserved it. Every time the ball went up inside Athletico’s box, it felt like Deportes Tolima’s players were… alone, winning all headers. That’s how they scored in the 30th minute, that’s how they could have finished the game off later. That 1-0 didn’t change, more than good enough to earn them all three points. On Friday they hosted Atlético Huila, and as expected they played with reserves. By that, I mean 10 out of 11 in the starting lineup were reserves(!). Only goalkeeper Álvaro Montero played the whole game. They drew, 0-0.

Boca Juniors vs Deportes Tolima: Betting Tips
Given that a simple Boca victory pays less than 1.50, I would risk with the same combined with “under 3.5 goals”, at 1.93.
