Boca Juniors vs Tigre
Competition: Argentina Superliga
Date: 4 November 2018
Kick-off: 00:00 CET
He did it again! Darío Benedetto did it again… Boca Juniors visited Palmeiras on Wednesday having a big 2-0 advantage from their first leg at home, in the Copa Libertadores semifinals, and scored first in Sao Paulo, leaving Palmeiras obliged to search for no less than four goals. Amazingly, the Brazilians scored twice in a matter of minutes in the second half, and not just that, but every attack of theirs seemed a potential goal. Soon after Palmeiras second goal (60’), Benedetto was sent in. A week earlier, two late goals of his, again having come off the bench, had given Boca that 2-0 victory. He did it again… Perfect strike from outside the box, 2-2, end of story. Palmeiras had something over 20 minutes to score three goals, but they looked so… broken that couldn’t even score one. Boca are just 9th in the Superliga, on 15 points from 10 matches. They can’t afford to drop more points at home. They have already lost to River and drawn with Rosario Central.
Feels like every week that passes, Tigre make a little step closer to getting relegated. Last weekend they wasted a 1-0 lead at home versus Lanús. The final 1-1 left them with just one point, poor, given how dire their position is in the table. They remain second-to-last in the “promedio” table, and 40% of the season is already gone. They’ve lost two of their last three games on the road, and failed to score in all three. Plus, they have a pitiful record at La Bombonera. The only thing that makes them hope that things will be different this time, is that the hosts will play with some reserves.

Boca Juniors vs Tigre: Prediction
Boca just played a super demanding game, and have the first leg of their Copa Libertadores final coming up. “Distracted” they definitely are, but still, at home, celebrating their qualification for the final, playing against a weak opponent, they should do the… minimum and win, even by just one goal.
