Bordeaux vs Slavia Prague
Competition: UEFA Europa League
Date: 29 November 2018
Kick-off: 18:55 CET
After losing three games in a row, France Ligue 1 and Europa League combined, Bordeaux have now drawn in four consecutive matches. In other words, they haven’t celebrated a single victory in their last seven games, in any competition. They are at the bottom of the table on just one point, and have been losing ground steadily in the Ligue 1 as well, where they are now 12th. Mathematically, they can still finish second(!) in the group. They need to beat Slavia this week, beat FC Copenhagen in Denmark in two weeks, and be done a… favor by Zenit, they need the Russian side to beat Slavia in Prague in two weeks. Three results, they need all three, no exception, still possible, but… realistically, not that-that probable.
Three weeks ago, Slavia missed a great opportunity to secure a spot in the last-32 of the competition, when they hosted FC Copenhagen. A win in that match would have finished the job off for them, but they got stuck to a goalless draw. Even so, they are on seven points, second in the table, two points ahead of third-placed Copenhagen, and in two weeks they will be hosting Zenit, who, by then, should have already qualified for the next round (and have a much smaller motive). They won all three games since that draw with Copenhagen, Czechia championship and Cup combined. They are leading in Czechia’s league, four points ahead of second-placed Viktoria Plzeň. They have seven wins and two draws in their last nine matches in all competitions. They haven’t lost since early October, that 1-0 at Zenit.

Bordeaux vs Slavia Prague: Prediction
Bordeaux have… forgotten what it feels like to win a game, but at least they have… contained the damage in their last four games, earning as many draws. I doubt they’ll lose this one, despite the fact that Slavia are considered slight favorites to win the game.
