Borussia Dortmund vs Freiburg
Competition: Germany Bundesliga
Date: 1 December 2018
Kick-off: 15:30 CET
Borussia Dortmund didn’t impress anyone with their football on Wednesday, when they hosted Club Brugge, but that poor 0-0 was enough to earn them, mathematically, a ticket to the Champions League last-16. Last weekend they beat Mainz 1-2 on the road, their third win in a row in the Bundesliga, and seventh in their last eight matches. They remain the only undefeated team in the league, leaders, on 30 points, four ahead of second-placed Borussia Monchengladbach. Bürki, Piszczek, Akanji, Zagadou, Hakimi, Witsel, Delaney, Sancho, Reus, Bruun Larsen and Götze, these are expected to be the first 11. Lucien Favre doesn’t have left-back Marcel Schmelzer at his disposal (injured).
Freiburg came super close to beating Werder Bremen at home last weekend. They took the lead late in the first half from the penalty spot, and kept it until added time, when they got equalized. They have won just one of their last seven league matches, but that was a big 3-1 at home over Borussia Monchengladbach. Plus, they earned draws against Bayer Leverkusen, Hertha Berlin, Werder, and even Bayern Munich, away from home(!). Christian Streich is expected to have Schwolow, Stenzel, Gulde, Heintz, Günter, Koch, Gondorf, Terrazzino, Haberer, Petersen and Waldschmidt in the starting lineup. Winger Brandon Borello, defensive midfielder Nicolas Höfler, and attacking midfielder Roland Sallai are out, injured. Winger Florian Kath is dealing with a stomach problem and is not expected to be involved in the game this weekend.

Borussia Dortmund vs Freiburg: Head to head Stats
Back in January, Borussia and Freiburg drew 2-2 in Dortmund. Before that, the hosts had celebrated nine wins in a row(!) over Freiburg.
Borussia Dortmund vs Freiburg: Prediction
Borussia should look much-much better compared to Wednesday’s Champions League game against Club Brugge. Any other result but a win of theirs would be a massive surprise.
Borussia Dortmund vs Freiburg: Betting Tips
A simple Borussia win pays too little, 1.33. Their victory combined with “over 2.5 goals” is my tip, at 1.78. “Borussia and over 3.5 goals” pays much better, 2.65, but obviously the risk is bigger.
