Bournemouth vs Brighton
Competition: England Premier League
Date: 22 December 2018
Kick-off: 16:00 CET
Bournemouth came very close to upsetting favorites Chelsea midweek, at Stamford Bridge, in their League Cup match. They lost 1-0, but that goal came very late, in the 84th minute. Last weekend, they had gone 1-0 down at Wolves just 12 minutes into the game, and again conceded towards the end. They are 11th in the Premier League table, on 23 points from 17 matches. League Cup and PL combined, they have lost seven of their last eight matches. Cook, Gosling and Smith are out, injured. On the other hand, Begovic, Mings, Daniels, Ake, Cook, Surman, Fraser, Lerma, Ibe, Stanislas and King are expected to start. As hosts, they have lost three of their last four games, but in their defense, those defeats were to Manchester United, Arsenal and Liverpool.
Eden Hazard is the Chelsea player who scored midweek to eliminate Bournemouth from the League Cup, and three days earlier he had scored against Brighton as well, in Chelsea’s 1-2 away win. Down 0-2 at halftime, Brighton were left with a mountain to climb in the second half. They got a goal back in the 66th minute, Solomon March’s first of the season, in 17 appearances, but nothing more than that. March is expected to be in the starting lineup once again. The other 10 should be Ryan, Balogun, Bernardo, Montoya, Dunk, Knockaert, Propper, Gross, Stephens and Murray. On the other hand, Shane Duffy is suspended, and José Izquierdo is injured. Brighton are 13th in the table, on 21 points. They have lost three of their last four away matches, but did beat Huddersfield, 1-2, earlier this month.

Bournemouth vs Brighton: Head to head Stats
Four wins for the hosts and a draw, in the last five games between these two in Bournemouth.
Bournemouth vs Brighton: Prediction
Bournemouth’s win and Brighton’s double chance pay exactly the same, 1.90. Between the two, I feel the latter comes with less risk.
Bournemouth vs Brighton: Betting Tips
Brighton’s double chance, at 1.90, is my only tip, leaving goals aside. In such a tricky match, between two teams that have both lost three of their last four matches, I think 1.90 on the visitors’ double chance is good enough to avoid taking an even bigger risk.
