Bournemouth vs Crystal Palace
Competition: Premier League
Date: 31 January 2017
Kick-off: 20:45 CET
While Bournemouth are in desperate need of a win, it is nothing compared to Crystal Palace who are going nowhere slowly under manager Sam Allardyce. They are on a four game losing streak and not to mention they have just been kicked out of the FA Cup.
Palace have just recently dropped into the relegation zone, and there is now every indication that they will be dropping down a league if they continue to play in this fashion. They sacked manager Alan Pardew who was also struggling, but at least getting his team to score goals, but now under the former England man and his conservative approach, Palace look to be really stuck in a lull. They have lost four in a row, with only one draw coming in five games, with losses against Arsenal, Swansea, West Ham and Everton. More so, those five games under Allardyce have seen them net just two goals, which is a marked difference from earlier in the season.
For Bournemouth, they may not be suffering a long stretching losing streak, but they are struggling to find wins as they remain in limbo in and around the middle of the table. Currently they are in 12th having dropped down there because of a draw to Watford, 2-2, but they really need to string some wins together to break into the top 10, which is easily reachable. Sitting on 26 points, the same as Burnley below them, a six point turnaround could see Bournemouth as high as eighth, but their form has been to spread with just one win, two draws and two losses in their last five.
Bournemouth vs Crystal Palace: Head-to-Head Stats
Palace are yet to taste victory in this fixture, although this fixture is only three games old having first met each other last season. There have been two draws, and just the one Bournemouth win, and when these teams met earlier this season at Selhurst Park, it ended there in a 1-1 draw.
Bournemouth vs Crystal Palace: Prediction
Allardyce is known as a fixer and a manager that has never dropped out of the League, on his credentials you have to believe that Palace’s luck will turn around, but nothing he has done has proven it will happen. Bournemouth’s story of reaching the Premier League is a magical one and one that speaks of their determination. They should feel that at home, they will have enough in the tank to beat the struggling Palace side.
Bournemouth vs Crystal Palace: Tips
Palace were always worth a goal or two as a bet, but not under Allardyce, rather bet on Bournemouth scoring more than one and Palace not scoring at all.
