Brazil vs Switzerland
Competition: 2018 World Cup finals
Date: 17 June 2018
Kick-off: 20:00 CET
Brazil look absolutely… scary. Ever since Tite took over, they have been anything from “great” to “wow”. They turned the CONMEBOL World Cup qualifiers into a leisurely walk in the park, and they have looked maybe even better in their friendly games these last months. Six matches, five wins, one goalless draw with England, just one goal conceded, and that to Japan, when they were already leading 3-0. Neymar is back, looking like he didn’t miss a day of training, no matter if he spent months sidelined. Gabriel Jesus, Coutinho, Firmino, they all look great, they seem to have found an awesome chemistry, the players between them as well as with their coach, so… good luck to any team that play against them in these finals.
Switzerland flew to Russia having lost just one of their last 22 games, that 2-0 to Portugal away from home, that obliged them to go through playoffs to make it to the World Cup finals. They had lost to Poland in Euro 2016, but on penalties, not in 90 or 120 minutes. In their four friendly games after the end of the qualifiers, they’ve won three, without conceding, and drew with Spain (1-1), the only game in which someone managed to score past them. Remember, Northern Ireland failed to score against Switzerland twice, in the playoffs, meaning that the Swiss have now conceded just one goal in their last six matches. Two years ago they started their Euro 2016 campaign having impressed in the build-up, but did rather poorly in France.

Brazil vs Switzerland: Prediction
If you believe in Switzerland causing a major upset to Brazil, their double chance is at 3.00. I don’t (believe in them). Not in this game, against THIS Brazil.
Brazil vs Switzerland: Betting Tips
A simple Brazil win pays 1.40. Combined with “over 2.5 goals” it goes up to 2.10. “Brazil to win and keep a clean sheet” pays somewhat better, 2.20. I like both the same, having a 3-0 hunch.
