Brighton vs Arsenal
Competition: England Premier League
Date: 26 December 2018
Kick-off: 18:15 CET
Third straight defeat for Brighton last weekend, when they visited Bournemouth. The final 2-0 is a bit harsh to them, a one-goal difference would have been more… representative of how the game really went, but the bottom line is that Brighton lost again, and are one of the only two teams that have earned no point from their last three games. They are 13th in the table, on 21 points, desperate to bounce back. They are expected to start with Ryan, Montoya, Balogun, Bernardo, Bong, March, Bissouma, Propper, Gross, Locadia and Andone. They lost their last home game, to Chelsea, 1-2, but before that, they had earned 10 points from their previous four games as hosts.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored twice last weekend to put Arsenal 2-0 ahead against Burnley at home, a game which the Gunners ended up winning 3-1. The former Borussia Dortmund striker scored his goals number 11 and 12 in this Premier League campaign, he is leading in the table of the scorers, and according to his teammate, Greek defender Sokratis Papastathopoulos, he can finish the season on more than 30 goals, backed by his teammates. Arsenal took perfect advantage of Chelsea’s defeat to Leicester, caught them on 37 points, but are still fifth in the table. If there are no late surprised, Unai Emery should have Leno, Papastathopoulos, Koscielny, Kolasinac, Maitland-Niles, Xhaka, Ozil, Torreira, Guendouzi, Aubameyang and Lacazette in the starting lineup. Before beating Burnley, the Gunners had lost to Southampton in the Premier League, and to Tottenham in the League Cup.

Brighton vs Arsenal: Head to head Stats
Back in March, Brighton beat Arsenal 2-1 at home, in a Premier League match. In 2013 and 2015, the Gunners won as guests, 2-3 both times, in FA Cup games. Before that, they hadn’t visited Brighton since 1982.
Brighton vs Arsenal: Prediction
I like Arsenal’s chances of winning the game.
Brighton vs Arsenal: Betting Tips
Arsenal’s victory pays a not bad 1.73. Combined with “over 1.5”, that goes up to 2.05. Pushing it a bit, I would risk with “Arsenal and over 2.5 goals”, at 2.55. Keep in mind, Arsenal have conceded in all but one away games in the Premier League this season.
