Celtic vs PSG
Competition: UEFA Champions League
Date: 12th September 2017
Kick-off: 20:45 CET
Back-to-back bad (but not really costly) results could have hurt Celtic’s self-confidence, but last weekend they easily beat Hamilton Academical 4-1 away from home, looking very good. Before that, they had flirted with humiliation at Astana, losing 4-1 until the 80th minute, when a late comeback helped them finish the game losing 4-3. A few days later, they drew 1-1 at home to St Johnstone, the only game so far they have dropped points in Scotland’s championship. After winning everything (and in style) last year in Scotland, Celtic are now challenged to show their teeth at international level, backed by one of the most enthusiastic crowds in Europe.
Neymar’s move to Paris Saint Germain has made even football fans who didn’t really care that much about the French league until recently to start watching PSG’s games, at least those, and what they have been seeing is a team that plays super freely, scoring two, three, even five and six goals per match. Neymar looks as… carefree as he was when playing for Santos, before moving to Barcelona, doing absolutely anything he feels like on the pitch. Kylian Mbappe made his debut for PSG last Friday at Metz, scored, and generally showed that PSG made a great investment in a just 18-year-old guy. Edinson Cavani has started the season with his foot on the gas as well, scoring in every single game, at least once, if not twice.

Celtic vs PSG: Head to head Stats
Celtic FC have hosted PSG just once before, more than 20 years ago, and the game ended in a 3-0 PSG triumph.
Celtic vs PSG: Predictions
Celtic should look super enthusiastic and motivated against one of the three biggest favorites (according to betting companies) to win the competition, but… PSG’s quality is such, that it’s hard to imagine them not scoring enough to win this game.
Celtic vs PSG: Betting Tips
PSG’s win pays just 1.22, but combined with over 3.5 total goals scored (not 2.5), this goes up to 2.40 betting odds. Deep down, I expect Celtic to score, and contribute to that over 3.5. Therefore both teams to score would also be a decent bet.
