Cerro Porteno vs Zamora
Competition: Copa Libertadores
Date: 13 March 2019
Kick-off: 23:15 CET
Massive victory for Cerro Porteño last week in Belo Horizonte. A deserved one? Depends on your point of view… They were not the better team on the pitch, they created less chances than Atlético, they saw the referee and his two assistants annul (correctly) two Atlético goals, and they also saw the first assistant miss Diego Churín’s offside position in the only goal of the match. The Argentinian pushed the ball in… somehow (he looked perplexed himself), and the first thing he did, even before celebrating his goal, was to look back and check the assistant referee. Maybe deep down he knew he was offside, but was definitely relieved to see the assistant run towards the center of the field. On Sunday, Cerro earned their third victory in a row, beating Deportivo Santaní 1-3 (this time there was no doubt who deserved all three points).
Truth is, I expected more from Zamora last week, when they hosted Nacional, partly because I had seen how poor the Uruguayan side had looked in their Apertura since the start of the season. It looked like a game which would be won by the team that would score first, very tight, and that proved the case indeed. Zamora conceded in the 24th minute, and… that was it. They spent the rest of the match hopelessly trying to create some danger inside Nacional’s box, but they failed, big time. Only once they really worried Nacional’s goalkeeper, that was all. On Friday they scored three times past Atlético Venezuela, but it wasn’t enough to earn them all three points. They drew 3-3, equalizing in the 86th minute.

Cerro Porteno vs Zamora: Betting Tips
Given that a simple Cerro pays just over 1.30, I would risk with “Cerro and under 3.5 goals”, at 1.85.
