Chapecoense vs Vitoria
Competition: Brazil Serie A
Date: 16 November 2017
Kick-off: 23:00 CET
Chapecoense’s win combined with under 2.5 goals (5.00) was the most daring of the three tips you found here when the other day, before Chape hosted Santos (the hosts’ double chance at almost 1.40, and their win in “draw no bet” at something over 1.70 were the other two, conservative, tips). Chapecoense won 2-0, taking the lead in the 14th minute from the penalty spot (Wellington Paulista scored his eighth goal of the season), and finishing the game off in the 67th minute (Wellington Paulista turned to provider, all Artur had to do was push the ball in, which he did, in the… weirdest way possible). Chape were practically the… only team on the pitch until about the 70th minute. In the last 20 minutes they allowed Santos to keep the ball, their goal was threatened in a couple of cases, but all in all, the Arena Conda side won easily, and deservedly. They are now sitting 13th in the table, with good chances of securing a Copa Sudamericana ticket for next season.
Despite playing against one of the best teams in he country away from home, I backed Vitoria last weekend to get at least a draw against Gremio, and they did exactly that. They took the lead in the 16th minute (Patric scored his first goal in 29 appearances in this Serie A campaign), they got equalized right away, but they didn’t lose heart, and they definitely didn’t… park the bus, they tried to play football, they missed three-four decent chances, even though it’s true that after the 70th minute they looked as if they had run out of steam, and were rather relieved to hear the referee’s final whistle. Vitoria are sitting 16th in the table, they are the first team right above the relegation line, three points ahead of Sport Recife and Ponte Preta. Do keep in mind that they have lost just one of their last 10 games away from home(!).

Chapecoense vs Vitoria: Head to head Stats
Chapecoense have hosted Vitoria only twice in the past (both in the last three years), and they have lost both matches, 4-1 and 1-0.
Chapecoense vs Vitoria: Prediction
Super tricky game, between a team (Chape) that are in good form, having won three of their last six games, and drawn in the other three, and a team (Vitoria) that have lost just one of their last ten away games(!). All things considered, I’m backing Vitoria to avoid defeat, expecting both teams to score.
Chapecoense vs Vitoria: Betting Tips
Vitoria’s double chance pays 1.85, almost as much as Chapecoense’s win alone. My other tip is “both teams to score”, at 1.90 betting odds.
