Colombia vs Qatar
Competition: Copa America
Date: 19 June 2019
Kick-off: 23:30 CET
Colombia’s win in “draw no bet” (2.35), and their double chance combined with “over 1.5” (2.50) were the two tips here the other day, when Carlos Queiroz’s team faced Argentina on their Copa América debut. The Colombians did even better than what I expected, winning 2-0, making a massive step towards qualifying for the quarterfinals, actually towards finishing first in their group. Roger Martínez scored a marvelous goal in the 71st minute, and Duván Zapata put the game to bed in the 86th, Colombia’s third win in less than two weeks, third clean sheet as well (the other two games were friendlies against Panama and Peru, both 3-0 victories). Queiroz was asked by reporters to pick his team’s best player, and he replied in the most diplomatic way possible, saying that Colombia’s best player is… the whole team.
Truth be written, I underestimated Qatar. Paraguay’s win (1.75), and the same combined with “over 1.5” (2.40) were the two tips here a few days ago, when the Middle Easterners faced Paraguay. Qatar went 1-0 down super early because of an easily avoidable penalty, early in the second half they conceded again, I thought it was over (despite the fact that Qatar had shown good things even while losing 2-0), but… it wasn’t; come 77’, the Asians were level at 2-2, and if they had not sort of run out of energy (some of their players, not all), maybe they would have completed an incredible comeback, earning all three points. Félix Sánchez, their Spanish coach, told reporters the final 2-2 was a fair result. One thing is for sure, Qatar showed (not just by avoiding defeat, but with the way they played in most of the game), that they are a decent team.

Colombia vs Qatar: Head to head Stats
This is the first game ever between these two.
Colombia vs Qatar: Prediction
I expect Colombia to look much more serious and reliable than Paraguay, and… take care of business, against a good, no doubt, but not as good a team as them.
Colombia vs Qatar: Betting Tips
Given that Colombia’s win pays just 1.35, I would risk with “Colombia and over 2.5 goals”, at 2.08.
