Corinthians vs Internacional
Competition: Brazil Serie A
Date: 23 September 2018
Kick-off: 21:00 CET
Corinthians suffered but beat Sport Recife at home last weekend, 2-1, coming from behind, Jair Ventura’s first win as Corinthians coach, in four matches. It was his first one at home though, having lost at Ceará and Palmeiras, and earned a positive draw at Flamengo, in the first leg of their Copa do Brasil semifinal. Cássio, Fagner, Léo Santos, Henrique, Danilo Avelar, Gabriel, Douglas, Romero, Jadson, Mateus Vital and Clayson, this should be Corinthians’ lineup. Ralf is suspended, and Renê Júnior, Paulo Roberto, Emerson Sheik, as well as Jonathas, are injured. Corinthians are on just 33 points from 25 matches, with zero chances of retaining their Série A title, but still very much interested in finishing as high as possible, so as to play Copa Libertadores football next season. Plus, on Wednesday, they are hosting Flamengo, in the return leg of their Copa do Brasil semifinal.
Critical game for Internacional… Last Monday, they lost a game they shouldn’t have lost, at Chapecoense, missing two fantastic opportunities in added time to earn at least a draw. A point in Chapecó, would have kept them first in the table. That defeat meant that they were back to second, a single point behind Sao Paulo. Víctor Cuesta and Rodrigo Moledo (both key players) are out, but Odair Hellmann… promised Inter’s fans to see the team ready to bleed in order to get all three points. These lines were written before Sao Paulo’s Saturday game against América Mineiro. If the leaders won that match, Inter are obliged to win, to stay right behind Sao Paulo.

Corinthians vs Internacional: Head to head Stats
Three wins for Corinthians and two draws in the last five games between these two in Sao Paulo.
Corinthians vs Internacional: Prediction
I believe in Inter, I expect them to leave Itaquera with at least a point.
Corinthians vs Internacional: Betting Tips
Inter’s double chance is at 1.53, so I would risk with their win in “draw no bet”, at 2.10. Deep down, I expect them to win 0-1. Their victory without the “safety net” of “draw no bet” pays 3.10.
