Cracovia Krakow va Arka Gdynia
Competition: Poland Ekstraklasa
Date: 4 March 2018
Kick-off: 15:30 CET
Cracovia Krakow’s 1-0 win at Wisla Plock midweek was important for at least two reasons; not only they earned all three points, but they did so away from home, against a top-8 team. Cracovia were 10th in the table after midweek’s games, but the fact that they beat a top-8 team away from home, and did do absolutely deservedly, must have… told them something, that it’s not too-too late to step on it, give their all to finish in the top-8, despite still being clearly below 8th-placed Wisla Plock. Watching the second half a few days ago, you could tell Cracovia’s goal was a matter of time. They showed balls, while Wisla were totally colourless, shadows of their real self. They are hosting 9th-placed Arka Gdynia, which means this is as big a chance as it gets to close the gap on them to just two points, and keep dreaming of a top-8 spot.
Arka Gdynia were considered clear favourites midweek to beat Piast Gliwice, but I backed the visitors to earn at least a draw, and that’s what they did. Third goalless draw in Arka’s last four Ekstraklasa matches, no win in their last five. They remain the team with the second best defensive record (behind Lech Poznan), but they are no higher than 9th, and that’s because only those placed 13th and below have scored less than Arka this season. The Gdynia side is struggling to create scoring chances, the few they do create they lack someone to turn them into goals, and that’s how gradually they fell below the top-8.

Three wins for Cracovia and two draws in the five games between these two in Krakow the last 10 years. None of those five matches had more than two goals.
Cracovia Krakow va Arka Gdynia: Prediction
I have rarely backed Cracovia to win without adding the safety net of “draw no bet”, but this is one game I feel the Krakow side really have what it takes to pick up all three points.
