CSKA Moscow vs Crvena Zvezda
Competition: Turkish Airlines Euroleague
Date: 5 April 2018
Time: 19:00 CET
CSKA Moscow might seem like the big bosses of the Euroleague this season, but last week they suffered somewhat of an unexpected loss on the road against Zalgiris Kaunas. It was an indifferent match for the Russians, who have already captured the top spot of the Euroleague (W23 L6). The match didn’t start in the best of circumstances, as Zalgiris Kaunas were great in the first half, and were up by four points. CSKA Moscow never really reacted to that, as they barely outscored their opponents in the third (16:18), only to completely fall in the fourth quarter, to eventually lose by 85:73. De Colo scored a game-high 18 points with 2 triples, but only Hines scored double digits with 12. CSKA Moscow are gearing up for the playoffs, and they looked a little more relaxed than they have been all season. Korobkov and Kulagin are once again listed as unavailable to participate.
On the other hand, Crvena Zvezda looked Real Madrid in the eye last week, but despite their massive effort, they ended up losing by 79:82 courtesy of a buzzer-beater threepointer by Luka Doncic. Crvena Zvezda found themselves down by 7 points at the end of the first quarter, but they quickly balanced the match. The two teams were really close to each other for the entire second half, and even though Crvena Zvezda had a clear shot for a win here, they saw Luka Doncic score a buzzer-beater threepointer at the end of the match to steal the win. Crvena Zvezda have been eliminated from the playoff race as they are now sitting at the 12th spot (W11 L18), and have nothing to play for, but pride, in their final Euroleague match of the season. They will be making this trip with a couple of injury concerns, as Dangubic has been ruled out and Antic is still being listed as questionable to participate.

CSKA Moscow vs Crvena Zvezda: Head to Head Stats
CSKA Moscow destroyed Crvena Zvezda when they travelled to Serbia earlier in the season, as they blasted them by a 59:85. They have been by far the dominant force in this match-up over the years, having won seven of the eight matches so far, and all four as hosts.
CSKA Moscow vs Crvena Zvezda: Prediction
Sure, CSKA Moscow have been by far the best team in the Euroleague so far, but they proved last week that they are prone to upsets. They have already capped the top spot, and while they will be looking to end the regular season with a win, Crvena Zvezda might prove to be a hard nut to crack.
CSKA Moscow vs Crvena Zvezda: Betting Tips
Anything other than a home win would be a massive upset here, but I expect Crvena Zvezda to give their best selves in their last match of the season. While I expect CSKA Moscow to win here, I believe that Crvena Zvezda might be able to defend a +18.5 point handicap @ 1.73.
